Wife's Message on Delaware Restaurant Wall Leads to Man's Arrest on Kidnapping, Rape Charges

A message written in lipstick on a Delaware fast-food restaurant wall wound up leading police to a 25-year-old woman who investigators said was held against her will and raped repeatedly by her estranged husband.

A customer discovered a message scrawled on the wall at the McDonald's on North Dupont Highway in Dover Thursday. Investigators wouldn't reveal exactly what the message said but did reveal that the message was from a woman who said she was being held against her will since Oct. 23.

Using surveillance video, detectives zeroed in on the woman and the man she was with at the restaurant -- tracking the duo down three hours later at the Dover Mall.

Dover police arrested Brandon Turner, 28, without incident.

Turner’s estranged wife told police he had duct-taped her to a bed and raped her multiple times at a Delaware home.

Following an earlier incident in August, the victim obtained a no-contact order against Turner, according to police.

Turner, of Rock Hall, Maryland, faces charges of rape, kidnapping and receiving stolen property, since at the time of his arrest Turner was using a stolen Kawasaki motorcycle, said police.

It's unclear whether Turner hired an attorney. He remained jailed Friday on $651,000 cash bond.
