The suspect in a malicious wounding case won't be arrested because he has diplomatic immunity, Arlington County, Virginia, police said.
Police were called to the residence Monday night for a man striking a girl several times with a wooden chair leg. Police called it a domestic incident.
The victim was taken to Virginia Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident took place at the diplomatic residence of Equatorial Guinea, ARLNow.com first reported. It’s the home of Ambassador Ruben Maye Nsue Mangue.
A person who answered the telephone at the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea declined to discuss the incident and referred questions to the ambassador. But she said a girl was taken to the hospital.
