Operation 'Git-Meow' Rescues Feral Cats from Gitmo

A South Carolina couple is giving 25 feral cats from Guantanamo Bay a forever home in the Carolinas with Operation Git-Meow. Glynn Meade, who spearheaded Operation Git-Meow, said there are more than 500 feral cats in Gitmo.

More than 53,000 pets were adopted through the 2016 Clear the Shelters campaign, a nationwide push to place deserving animals in forever homes. Join the conversation on social media using #ClearTheShelters.
