    The White House was locked down for the second time this week as the Secret Service investigated items thrown over the fence.

    The items were thrown over the north fence and the south fence about 2:50 p.m., the Secret Service said.

    Evan J. Graham and Vaughn Greenbrier Lerriche are charged with "throwing object-missiles."

    Graham threw a cassette tape over the north fence. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital after complaining of a medical issue during questioning. D.C. police will then take him in for processing.

    Lerriche threw miscellaneous papers over the south fence and has already been taken in for processing.

    It's unclear if this was a coordinated effort.

    The lock down was lifted before 4:30 p.m.

    President Barack Obama is in California.

    Just after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, the White House was locked down when a man in a Honda Civic closely trailed the motorcade taking the president’s daughters home through the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance. Matthew Evan Goldstein, 55, was charged with unlawful entry and released.
