The governor has not said whether she'll seek re-election and we'll have to wait a little longer.
As the Democratic field for governor is getting more and more crowded, Gov. M. Jodi Rell said she would wait until after the municipal elections on Nov. 3 to make her decision.
She made the announcement on Monday, the same day Ridgefield First Selectman Rudy Marconi said he is forming an exploratory committee to consider a run for governor and it appears he's hitting the ground running.
Marconi, who announced his committee during a four-town tour of the state, joins a growing list of Democrats already looking at a run for the state's highest office.
Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy, Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz and State Senator Gary LeBeau have all formed exploratory committees. Former Democratic House Speaker James Amann is the only one who has officially declared his candidacy for governor.
There has been speculation about whether Rell will run and when Congressional Quarterly crunched the campaign fundraising figures in July, it found Rell trailing Bysiewicz and Malloy.
Polls show Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell is still the favorite in 2010.
