Chris Dodd, Princess Leia and Sen. Kennedy's Frank Questions

Carrie Fisher says Ted Kennedy asked her if she would have sex with then-Sen. Dodd.

Yes, Chris Dodd dated Princess Leia. And they had an unusual conversation with Ted Kennedy.

Carrie Fisher, the actress who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars trilogy, wrote in her new book, "Shockaholic," that she went on a date with Dodd in the 1980s, when he was a single senator.

The actress was filming in Baltimore in 1985 when a friend set her up with Dodd, the Washington Post reports.

On the date, the couple met up with Kennedy at a Georgetown restaurant.  According to Fisher,  Kennedy looked at her and frankly asked, “So, do you think you’ll be having sex with Chris at the end of your date?”

Dodd looked at her “with an unusual grin,” Fisher wrote.

Her reply? Probably not. Fisher was sober at the time and had just gotten out of rehab, the Hill reports in The Washington Scene.

“I’d have to be truly loaded to just fall into bed with someone I’ve only very recently met,” Fisher writes, “even if that someone is a Democrat.”

But, Kennedy's direct and personal questions did not end there.

"'Would you have sex with Chris in a hot tub?' Senator Kennedy asked me, perhaps as a way to say good night?” Fisher wrote, according to the excerpt in the Hill.

“’I'm no good in water,’ I told him.”

The Post reached out to Dodd, who now runs the Motion Picture Association of America. He had no comment.

In all, Fisher mentions Dodd in eight pages of the new book.
