Plan on going to the inaugural ball? More tickets have just been released for $225 or $175.
The ball will be held on Jan. 5, at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
The original 1,750 tickets sold out quickly, Lieutenant Governor-Elect Nancy Wyman said, so they have released more.
“Governor-Elect Malloy and I are incredibly humbled by the number of people from across the state who want to be a part of this historic night with us,” Wyman said. “There is a lot of work for us to do once we take office, but for a few hours that night, we can spend some time with friends, old and new, as we start this new chapter in our state’s history.”
Tickets for seating and the buffet are $175 each and can be purchased online at www.ctinauguralball.com. Tickets for a table of 10 are $2,250. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 8 p.m.
If you plan to attend, you first must apply for tickets. If you’re approved, you will receive payment instructions and then you will have to bring your ticket and photo ID on the night of the event.
Leave gifts home. The only items you will be allowed to bring in are cameras, camera bags and purses.
