Karl Rove has never been one to back down from a fight, and that's just what he'll get Tuesday night.
The former Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush is at Yale to debate the Yale Political Union. The topic: "Resolved: Repeal Obamacare".
Rove, no doubt, is no fan of President Obama's health care reform. "Take his oft-expressed statement that if you like the coverage you have you can keep it," Rove wrote in a June Op-Ed piece in the Wall Street Journal. "That sounds good -- but perverse incentives in his new law will cause most Americans to lose their existing insurance."
It will be those viewpoints that will likely rile the more liberal-leaning debaters at Yale. We're guessing that's something Rove will enjoy doing.
The debate is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Yale Law School Auditorium at 127 Wall Street in New Haven.
The doors open at 7 p.m. They're hoping to pack the house. It's free admission, and a posting in the Yale Daily News says "all are welcome".
