Connecticut Democrats have challenged Republican Linda McMahon to a smack down and hit the former World Wrestling Entertainment exec with a federal elections complaint.

They claim she received corporate help for her U.S. Senate race when WWE pulled several offensive videos from YouTube to help McMahon's campaign.

The missing videos, Democratic chairwoman Nancy DiNardo said, show wrestlers engaging in a simulated rape and appearing in other offensive scenes. However, they left up thousands of less explicit ones, she claims.

WWE, however, said the videos were removed because they were copyrighted material.

DiNardo claims that removing the videos amounts to a prohibited in-kind corporate contribution.

McMahon's spokesman, Ed Patru, said that's a baseless accusation and the campaign has complied with all federal election rules.

McMahon is one five Republicans seeking to challenge Democrat Chris Dodd in 2010.
