Tonight, the two Democratic candidates for governor squared off in a debate.

Former Stamford Mayor Dan Malloy and Greenwich businessman Ned Lamont took questions from NBC Connecticut panelists as well as questions from the voters of Connecticut.

Malloy secured the party nomination during the convention in May and Lamont commanded enough votes to compete in the primary.
