Hartford Public's Andre Lawrence has a dream of one day playing in the NFL, and the road to that dream will go through Boston College.

On Wednesday, the first day that high school football players can sign letters of intent to play in college, Lawrence made it official and signed with Boston College.

"After my first visit, I felt like I belonged there," said Lawrence.

Lawrence, who was an offensive star for Hartford Public, will play outside linebacker at Boston College.

This is a tremendous opportunity for Andre and it brings pride to Hartford Public High School," said Lawrence's Hartford Public football coach Harry Bellucci.  "He's been working hard and to have him play in the ACC is a boost to our program and I'm happy that someone of Andre's caliber will get a good education."
