4 Charged in Fight at MetLife Stadium After Jets, Patriots Game

Four people have been arrested in connection with the fight that broke out near an exit gate following the Jets' overtime win against the New England Patriots on Sunday, police said.

New Jersey State Police said Tuesday that two women and a man from Massachusetts and a man from New York were charged with assault and disorderly conduct.

Police said the women were seen punching and kicking the man from New York, who then punched one of them in the face. The Massachusetts man then allegedly punched the first man.

Cell phone video shows the skirmish following Gang Green's big win. The video obtained by NBC 4 New York shows a man on the ground, surrounded by a group of fans, as the fight erupts.

Punches are thrown, and one female Patriots fan comes up behind one of the Jets fans and grabs his neck, fighting to pull him away from the person on the ground.

Others pull the Jets fan away from the woman after a brief struggle, and then another female Patriots fan walks up to him, yelling and getting in his face. The Jets fan then punches her in the face.

A male Patriots fan then tries to join the fracas, and it's eventually broken up, according to the video provided by Robert Littal.

The lawyer for Kurt Paschke Jr., 38, the New York man charged in the assault, says his client was defending himself, his mother and friends from being hurt.

"After the police complete their investigation, we expect Kurt to be vindicated," the lawyer, Bruce Barket, said.

Nick Folk kicked a 42-year field goal in overtime to lift the Jets over the Patriots, bringing Gang Green to a 4-3 record, second in the division. The Patriots lead the division with a 5-2 record.

The Jets play the 5-2 Bengals in Cincinnati next week.
