Raise your hand if you're sure, Coach. Geno says he needs this win.

The award-winning UConn pep band is ready.  The Husky fans are ready.  The players are ready.  It's National Championship time!

So can Louisville do the unthinkable and beat the Huskies here in St. Louis?  No.

Okay, anything is possible.  But how can we sit here and give the Cardinals any sort of realistic shot?

I watch the Big East Tournament title game on press row.  UConn beat Louisville by 39 points.  39 points!  Are you kidding me?!

Now I keep hearing how Louisville is a different team.  But if the same old Huskies show up tonight -- ballgame -- it's over.  UConn wins 83-64.  We'll see how close I get...

Monday's post:

Is a title in the Cards for the Huskies?  It's certainly a Cardinal's world here in St. Louis and the Huskies are just living in it.

Though St. Louis Cardinals lost on opening day, Missourians love their hometown baseball.  The Louisville Cardinals -- not so much. But expect the locals to be pulling for the underdog Louisville Cardinals Tuesday night.

The Huskies have already beaten Louisville by 28 and 39 points, so to say UConn is a the favorite is a major understatement.

Louisville's coach Jeff Walz admitted Monday that his team couldn't beat UConn in a best-of-five or best-of-seven series. But he also pointed out that they only need to beat the Huskies once.

Geno Auriemma has reminded his players of the 1985 Villanova mens team. They got thumped in the regular season by the Hoyas and then beat them for the National Championship.

Geno wants this title badly.  He has never lost the title game, going 5-0 all time. Geno said Monday that he's never wanted anything more than he wants this but that the prince doesn't always get the princess.

That said, it would be shocked if Cinderella Louisville beat UConn. A win is in the cards for UConn.
