Maya Moore Excited About Olympics

The former UConn Star looking forward to the London Games

Maya Moore expects to be the brunt of some jokes from U.S. Olympic Coach Geno Auriemma.

Moore said it comes with the territory when you are the youngest player on Team USA.  But her credentials are nothing to laugh at as she prepares for the Olympics in London.

Moore has already won two National Titles at UConn and a WNBA Championship as a rookie with the Minnesota Lynx. But she calls the opportunity to represent her country at the upcoming Summer Games an experience unlike any other.

She has been practicing her British accent, but admitted she's been told it sounds more like something from the 1700's.

Moore said she has been working on the subtle nuances of becoming a better pro.  She figures to benefit from learning even more from her former UConn coach, Geno Auriemma.  Moore said that Auriemma will have no problem making the transition from coaching college players to professionals this summer because Auriemma is so good with people.
