UConn redshirt freshmen kicker Dave Teggart was named Big East Special Teams Player of the Week.

Teggart, in his first collegiate game, kicked four field goals and three extra points in UConn's 40-16 win over Cincinnati at Rentschler Field on Saturday.  The field goals were distances of 26, 47, 32, and 22 yards.  The 47-yard kick was booted into a strong wind.

Teggart was given the start at kicker over senior Tony Ciaravino, who was benched after missing three field goals against Rutgers.

UConn junior running back Donald Brown was also named to this week's Big East Weekly Honor Roll for rushing for 150 yards and two touchdowns against Cincinnati.  Brown, the nation's leading rusher, hit the 100-yard mark for the eighth straight game.
