UConn Manhandled By Michigan

The UConn Huskies were part of a historic day of college football to open the 2010 season Saturday, but came out on the losing end.
113,090 fans were in attendance at the Big House to watch the Michigan Wolverines handle UConn 30-10 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The attendance number was the largest ever for a football game. It broke the old record of 112,118, also at Michigan Stadium, in 2003.
UConn had a rough start, going down 21-0 early in the first half. The Huskies were able to bounce back with a field goal and a touchdown run by Jordan Todman to pull within 21-10 at halftime.
Coach Randy Edsall's team put together an impressive drive in the third quarter, which included a fourth an inches call inside the Wolverines' 10-yard line.
Quarterback Zach Frazier handed the ball off to D.J. Shoemate who steamed ahead with enough for a first down, but Shoemate fumbled the ball on the Michigan 3-yard-line before being tackled. UConn never threatened again.
Frazier was 18 of 37 for 205 yards in the season opener. Todman finished with 105 yards. But the real star of the game was Michigan's Denard Robinson who accounted for 383 yards, including 197 rushing yards, and two touchdowns.
Final score: 30-10 Michigan.
