Syracuse and UConn have a lot of history between them, almost all of it coming when they were both part of the Big East. Now the Huskies are in the American Athletic Conference and the Orange are in the Atlantic Coast Conference ... but that doesn't mean that can't engage in a little good-natured trash talk.
UConn got the proverbial ball rolling with this tweet from Tuesday morning:
Obviously, Syracuse wasn't going to let that slide.
And UConn, seeing an opportunity, pounced.
Okay, that was cold. That said, there's no chance the two teams will get a chance to meet on the court this postseason to solve their differences; UConn is still struggling with consistency while the Orange have already declared themselves ineligible for tournament play.
