NBC Connecticut is beginning a new segment each week providing tips for parents of athletes.
 
Kevin Nathan sits down with Dan Doyle, one of the country’s leading experts on youth sports, who is also a former Trinity College basketball coach, a father of six, the founder of the Institute of International Sport and the author of the Encyclopedia of Sports Parenting, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

A survey of 500 successful people showed most played sports and had a good experience. They learn about not only success but also use failure as feedback.
