What a Let Down, UConn Loses to Michigan St.

From more than 700 miles away, UConn fans cheered on their Huskies till the very end.

At Huskies Restaurant and Bar, the fans held out till the final minute and tried to will their Huskies to close the gap and beat Michigan State. Unfortunately, UConn's tournament run was shut down by the Spartans.

"I'm really, really sad right now. My last year here, I was ready to go to Detroit tomorrow to go see the game, the championship, and unfortunately, my senior year, we tried so hard, it's awful we couldn't make it," said Lindsay Becker, a senior at UConn.

Fans said it was a tough game against M.S.U. that had its ups and downs.

"It was back and forth the entire time, so it's not that bad of a battle," said Ryan Laporte, a senior at UConn.

"UConn needed to get some more rebounds and they would have been straight, but you know what, Michigan State is a better team, they deserve to go on," said Mike Montano, a senior at UConn.

Fans are proud of the UConn men's team for getting this far and giving it their all in the Final Four.

"I think we tried our hardest, I really do. I think it was a great game. I'm really proud we got as far as we did," said Leslie Witalis, a junior at UConn.
