Governator Asked to "Terminate" Escort Review Site

A California-based website that hosts customer reviews of London sex workers draws Labour deputy's ire

The Right Honorable Harriet Harman, a member of the British parliament representing Camberwell and Peckham in southeast London, is demanding that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger shut down a popular Web site.

The California-based site in question is a place where men who like to pay for some warm company post reviews of providers.

"There is now a website… where pimps put women on sale for sex and then men who've had sex with them put their comments online. It is PunterNet and fuels the demand for prostitutes," Harman told delegates to a Labour Party conference.

Thankfully, Schwarzenegger is not actually a ruthless dictator, and probably doesn't have the power to arbitrarily crush a small business with an iron fist, as much as he might like to.

Besides, whack the PunterNet mole and watch people pop up at San Francisco institutions like SF Redbook and, of course, Craigslist.
