School Accused of Spying on Kids Through Laptops

Well, this is creepy. A Pennsylvania school district has been accused of secretly spying on its students through the webcams in their laptops, whether or not they're at school. The district, which gave laptops to all of its students, was apparently able to activate the webcams remotely.

This was discovered when a student was disciplined for "improper behavior in his home," with the vice principal using a photo taken from his laptop's webcam as evidence.

If this is true, I can't imagine how the school district will justify its actions. It's invasion of privacy to the highest degree. Creepy stuff.
