Obama poised to announce key cabinet posts.

Big moves have reportedly been made by President-elect Barack Obama in putting together his cabinet. The New York Times is quoting two unnamed confidants close to Hillary Clinton who say she's ready to resign her U.S. Senate seat and move into the Obama administration as Secretary of State. The formal announcement is expected after Thanksgiving and comes after Bill Clinton agreed to guidelines, including restrictions on future paid speeches.

  • Concerned Citizen Monday, Nov 24 at 3:41 AM FLAG COMMENT Dearest BlahBlah, You seem very eager to talk about the mere 2 years the Democrats have held the congress, but how about we focus on the 8 years that the Bush administration spent destroying our country peice by peice? So you want to secure the border? Great idea, in fact the Bush administration has spent years and several millinos dollars on it. At last check, they had constructed about 10 miles of fence. Very productive ... MORE >
  • BlahBlah Sunday, Nov 23 at 11:45 PM FLAG COMMENT Yes and in the two years they had it please note that they did nothing with it. While you sit there pecking at the keyboard in you Democrat vs Republican stupor your country is being taken to the cleaners. I agree that McCain would have been no better. Well maybe a little bit. I doubt he would have appointed a Homeland security director that opposes securing the border, a attorney general who has pardoned domestic terroris ... MORE >
  • Concerned Citizen Sunday, Nov 23 at 8:35 PM FLAG COMMENT Blahblah, The democrats have only had the congress for 2 years. Nice name by the way, it's some thing an infant babbles, much like your postings. Oh, I'm positive that McCain in office would have brought nothing new to Washington except the inexperience and blahblah babblings of a naive Alaskan governor.
  • blahblah Sunday, Nov 23 at 1:29 PM FLAG COMMENT Concerned Citizen, You fail to mention that these the areas where these appointees fail are directly related to the field where Obama is placing them. You fail policies for the past eight years include a democrat controlled congress. Looks like more of the same coming down the pike.
  • Concerned Citizen Sunday, Nov 23 at 7:25 AM FLAG COMMENT I'm pleased with the cabinet thus far. Experience and change exist as two separate entities. The fact that an individual has experience does not preclude them from inducing change. Change has arrived and the failed policies of the last 8 years will finally be left behind as we change our heading and take on a new course towards diplomacy.
