A state prosecutor in Danbury has been placed on administrative leave, allegedly over complaints that he surreptitiously took photos of women's legs and feet in court.
The News-Times of Danbury, citing multiple sources it did not identify, reports that David Holzbach, a 52-year-old senior assistant state's attorney, is accused of using a camera concealed in a pen to take the photos inside the state Superior Courthouse on White Street.
The newspaper reports that Holzbach is on paid leave from his $129,000-a-year job, but has not been charged with a crime.
Chief State's Attorney Kevin Kane declined to comment, calling the case a personnel matter.
Holzbach told the newspaper that he has not been informed of the nature of the allegations.
He has been a prosecutor in Danbury for 24 years.
