John Chandler joined NBC Connecticut in 2011 as a sports anchor. He can also be heard anchoring sports flashes weekdays for WEEI radio in Boston.
John earned an Emmy Award from the New England NATAS Chapter in 2010 for his work at NESN, where he started in 2007 as an anchor and reporter for SportsDesk. He wore a number of hats there, including beat reporter for UConn football and basketball, and covered the Celtics in 2008 on the road to their 17th NBA Championship.
John is also a play-by-play broadcaster for the NBA D-League and has contributed as a sideline reporter for both the UFL on NESN and Notre Dame football on Sirius/XM radio.
Previously, John spent five years as a sports anchor and reporter at WEWS, the ABC affiliate in his native Cleveland, Ohio where he closely followed the development of LeBron James from high school to the NBA.
John is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication. His wife, Amanda, is a native of Vernon.
