Josh Chapin joined NBC Connecticut in November 2012 as a general assignment reporter.
Since joining the station, he has worked out of the NBC Connecticut New Haven studios, covering stories around New Haven and up and down the Connecticut shoreline.
Josh came to NBC Connecticut from News 12 The Bronx and News 12 Brooklyn, where he was a reporter and weekend anchor. While in New York City, Josh covered a wide array of stories, including the killing of an 8-year-old boy who was a member of Brooklyn's Ultra Orthodox Jewish community. Josh started at News 12 The Bronx as an assignment editor and freelance reporter.
Josh is a 2009 graduate of Duke University where he earned a B.A. in Classical Languages and a certificate is Policy Journalism and Media Students, broadcast journalism.
In his spare time, he is a crossword puzzle fanatic, a rabid sports fan and a music aficionado. He is a Manhattan native but is excited to explore all Connecticut has to offer.
