Lemon Buttermilk Ice Cream with Strawberries

Stay Cool This Summer With This Sweet Treat

1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk-(14 Oz.)

1 Qt. Buttermilk

½ Cup Fresh Lemon Juice

2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract

½ tsp. Salt

1 Qt. Native Strawberries-sliced or quartered

1 Cup Sugar

1 Tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice

· Prepare ice cream base. Start with the condensed milk in a bowl. Gradually whisk in the buttermilk, until smooth. Whisk in the first measure of lemon juice, vanilla, and salt. Freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturers directions.

· Prepare strawberries by combining the berries, sugar, and second measure of lemon juice. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow syrup to form. Serve berries over the ice cream and enjoy!
