New England Patriots QB finally popped the question to supermodel girlfriend Gisele Bundchen on Christmas Eve, TMZ is reporting.
The couple was on a private jet en route from New Jersey to Boston, accompanied by Brady's parents, four-dozen white roses and some bubbly, sources told the celebrity site.
It would be a nice ending for what has been quite possibly the worst year of Brady's life, who in his nine-year career has won three Super Bowls and set several passing records.
In February, his Patriots were on the brink of football history, heading into the Super Bowl with a chance to be the first team ever to go 19-0. Instead, Brady's team suffered a stunning upset at the hands of the underdog New York Giants.
This crushing disappointment was followed by a year-ending knee injury in the season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The couple began dating in late 2006, not long after his break-up with actress Bridget Moynahan, who gave birth to their son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, the following summer.
