UConn head coach Randy Edsall tells NBC 30's Kevin Nathan that he has not been contacted by Syracuse and has no interest in their head coaching job.

UConn football head coach Randy Edsall told me this afternoon that he has not been contacted by Syracuse about their head coaching vacancy and that he has no interest in the job if he is approached by the Orange.

The Syracuse Post-Standard reported last week that sources said Edsall was very interested in the job and was going to be offered an eight-year $16 million deal.  Edsall told me he has had no contact with any Syracuse officials.  He made it clear he does not want to disrespect his former school where he played and coached, but that he has no interest in the job.

Syracuse fired their coach of four years Greg Robinson on Sunday.  This coming the day after the Huskies won at Syracuse 39-14.
