Anjuli Porter is the weekend morning news anchor and reporter for NBC Connecticut. She joined the NBC Connecticut news team in June 2007.
Before coming to Connecticut, Anjuli served as a reporter and fill-in anchor for KVBC in Las Vegas, Nev., where she contributed to numerous Emmy award-winning newscasts. She began her career in television at WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tennessee where she started as a reporter, eventually becoming an anchor.
Anjuli competed in the Miss America Scholarship Organization before graduating from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. After graduation, she completed post-graduate studies in Cuernavaca, Mexico at Cuauhnáhuac I.S.L.S. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
When she’s not covering the news, Anjuli loves singing jazz, traveling, cooking and sightseeing with her dog, Violet. She’s proud of her southern heritage and is just as eager to make Connecticut her new home.
