Diana Perez joined the NBC Connecticut News team in June 2008.
Before arriving in Connecticut, she was the morning anchor/reporter at News 12 The Bronx. During her time there she covered stories that received national attention, including the death of Nixmary Brown, the 7 year old tortured and killed at the hands of her parents and the release of 9/11 emergency call tapes. Diana also exposed poor living conditions at city-owned buildings, prompting action from community leaders.
Prior to being in front of the camera, she worked behind the scenes as a desk assistant and assignment editor for WCBS-2.
Diana graduated from Hofstra University on Long Island, NY with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. She also interned at LI News Tonight at NYIT, where she one-man-banded stories for a nightly, student-run newscast.
Diana and her husband Ducis are excited to call Connecticut home.
