Kevin Nathan turned a passion for playing and following sports into a career as the Sports Director at NBC Connecticut.
Since joining the station in 1996, Kevin has won four New England Emmy's and has received 23 Emmy nominations. In 2008, 2007 and 2005, he was voted the Connecticut Sportscaster of the year by his peers.
At NBC Connecticut, Kevin has covered several World Series, including the Red Sox first title since 1918, many of the UConn Men's and Women's Basketball National Championship teams, three Super Bowls and the 2002 olympics. Besides filling in as a sports anchor for WNBC in New York, Kevin also hosts "Sports Talk" on WTIC Newstalk 1080, and is part of the UConn Football Radio Network.
Before joining NBC Connecticut, Kevin worked at WSAZ-TV, in Huntington, W.Va., WUTR-TV, in Utica, N.Y., and WYVN-TV, in Martinsburg, W.Va.
In his senior year in 1989 at Dickinson College, the Red Devils went undefeated in football for the first time in 52 years. Kevin was named a Division III All-American safety after intercepting a school record 10 passes. He also captained the baseball team for three years.
Kevin serves on the Board of Directors of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and leads the Walk for the Cure. He's also involved in a number of charity golf tournaments and fundraisers: JDRF, The NBC Connecticut Jim Calhoun Cancer Challenge Ride, Randy Edsall's Arthritis Foundation Gala and The Cystic Fibrosis Sportscasters Superball. He and his wife Kristine have three children, Ryan, Brynn and Katie.
