Ryan Hanrahan
Meteorologist

Ryan Hanrahan joined the NBC Connecticut Weather Team in December 2005 and currently serves as the weekend evening meteorologist and as a general assignment reporter on weekdays.
Growing up along the shoreline in Guilford, Conn., his interest in the weather was sparked by Hurricanes Gloria and Bob, along with the blizzards of '93 and '96.
Ryan returns to Connecticut after working as a meteorologist for WNYT, the NBC affiliate in Albany, N.Y. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from the Pennsylvania State University. His weathercasts have been recognized by the American Meteorological Society with their Seal of Approval.
Ryan currently lives in the West End of Hartford. Besides forecasting the weather, Ryan enjoys spending his spare time at the gym, at the beach, or on the slopes skiing. He's also actively involved with several community organizations including Special Olympics Connecticut, the National Kidney Foundation of Connecticut, and the Connecticut Aids Resource Coalition.
