l know "The Boss" is taking over the XL Center tonight, and tickets have been sold out for months. So, unless you bought tickets in February, you probably aren't going.

So what else is there to do in Connecticut?

Who needs the E Street Band (besides, Max Weinberg's probably focusing more on his tonight show gig, right here on NBC starting in June!), when you can have a night filled with Southern Rock!

The Marshall Tucker Band is taking to the stage at Toad's Place in New Haven tonight. The boys from Spartanburg, S.C. have been one of the leading Southern Rock bands since the early '70s, and after more than 30 years, they're still going strong.

Tickets are $25 at the door, and the show starts at 8:15 p.m.

Who doesn't love a woman in a little black dress? Mohegan Sun is paying homage to the fashion icon tonight with their Little Black Dress Night. Women donning their favorite famous garment get in to Mohegan's Ultra 88 Nightclub for free (guys, I don't know if you'll get the same treatment, but it's worth a shot).

Once everyone's inside the club, and appropriately dressed, people can dance the night away on a 400-square foot dance floor, listening to a DJ spinning top 40-hits. And of course, there are plenty of libations to get people into the right frame of mind.

You can make a weekend out of your trip to Uncasville.

Funnyman Dane Cook is performing at the casino Saturday and Sunday night. Cook is kicking off his world tour, which he's calling the biggest comedy tour in history, at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

If you don't know who he is, (go grab a towel and clean up after taking your head out of the sand) Cook is perhaps the hottest comic around. He's got two highly-rated specials under his belt for HBO and Comedy Central, and he's appeared in movies like "Good Luck Chuck" and "Employee of the Month."

Dane Cook - ISolated Incident Global Thermo Comedy Tour (I swear that's what it's named) debuts Saturday at 10 p.m. Sunday's show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $50-$100. You get get more info from Mohegan Sun's website.

A La Cuisine!

Fans o fIron Chef on the Food Network will want to head to New Haven this weekend for "Iron Chef-Elm City." Complete with secret ingredients, local chefs will compete against each other. They'll have to make an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Celebrity judges will then evaluate the dishes and crown a winner.

The festivities kick off at noon at Gateway Community College. Tickets cost $20. Call the Greater New Haven Convention & Visitors Bureau at 203-777-8550 for more info.

Finally, the weather is supposed to be awesome this weekend, which means it will be perfect to head to the Meriden Daffodil Festival.

There'll be food, rides and fireworks in addition to the 61 different kinds of daffodils. The festival runs Saturday and Sunday in Hubbard Park.
