Established by Frank Pepe's nephew, Salvatore "Sally" Consiglio, in 1938, the “younger” of the two Wooster Street giants is no less legendary than its archrival. The two establishments have been locked in battle for more than six decades. Sally's pies are baked in a coal-fired brick oven that has been operational for sixty years. Their specialty is a "potato pie" featuring thinly sliced potatoes and rosemary. And true to tradition, Sally's is still run by the founder's immediate family.
