ELECTRO-POP:  Gotta love a one-named musician that describes her style of music as "intergalactic."  Canada's Lights is coming to Connecticut to play the Webster Underground tonight in Hartford.  Lights, who admits to loving "World of Warcraft," was named New Artist of the Year at Canada's equivalent of the Grammys back in March.  And you can see her the night after her full-length debut "The Listening" officially drops.  Indie pop band "Stars of Track & Field" are also on the bill.  Tickets are $10.  7pm.

FEEL THE PAIN:  Dinosaur Jr. was among the most influential alt-rock bands of the '90s (heck, even Nirvana were fans), if not the most commercially successful.  They hit the MTV generation with "Feel the Pain" (and it's accompanying video showing the group golfing through NYC)  Though they've had their share of troubles and break-ups over the years, the band never officially went away.  Back with their original line-up, and a recent album "Farm," Dinosaur Jr. are taking to the stage at Toad's Place tonight.  Tickets are $25.  8pm.

ALE AND ENTREES:  Get ready for a four course meal that pairs some delicious food, with some potent potables.  Tuscany Grill in Middletown is partnering with the Thomas Hooker Brewing Co. tonight for a four-course beer dinner.  For $45 a person (including tax and tip), you can enjoy four of the restaurants tastiest dishes, each paired with a different Hooker Brew.  Call 860-346-7096 for reservations.  6:30pm.
