    THE GOOD OLE 90'S:They had some of the great alt-rock hits of the late 90's like "Far Behind" and "You", and tonight Candlebox will be rocking the Webster Theater in Hartford. The band is headlining a show with a half-dozen bands including Lateral Edge, NoSho and A Tempting Fate. The show starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $20.

    HEAD UNDERGROUND: Maybe you're looking for a little more laid back scene tonight? Then head to Jazz Underground Cafe in New London. The cafe hosts jazz artists Thursday-Sunday. Tonight it's a jazz jam led by the Joe Parillo Trio. You can dine on appetizers and sandwiches while you soak in the sounds.

    SHADOW DANCING: If you're looking to start your weekend a little early, head to Shadow Room in Middletown. Music, a huge cocktail menu and good food will help you put the work week behind you (even if you have to head back to the office tomorrow). Shadow Room has been called a chic and trendy Manhattan lounge without the attitude.

    The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the music starts at 8:30 p.m. There's a $4 cover charge.
