Hot Concerts at Travelers Championship

Golf fans will get a chance to see some big names in music during this year's Travelers Championship.

Eddie Money and Huey Lewis and the News will both be playing concerts during the tournament week in June, according to tournament officials. The REACH Concert Series is a partnership with The REACH Foundation. The group raises money for charities, such as Make-A-Wish, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Petit Family Foundation.

"Huey Lewis and the News and Eddie Money have been entertaining fans for decades and we are excited to have them join us this June," Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube said.

Eddie Money, who had hits in the '80s with "Two Tickets to Paradise", "Take Me Home Tonight" and "Shakin'", will perform Wednesday, June 22 in the Fan Zone at the TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell. The concert will take place around 7 p.m., just after the last players from that day's celebrity pro-am finish their rounds.

With hits like "Power of Love", "Hip To Be Square" and " Heart of Rock-n-Roll", Huey Lewis and the News have been entertaining fans for nearly 30 years. The group will perform in the Fan Zone Saturday, June 25 after the conclusion of play.

Fans who buy tickets to the golf on either of those days will be able to stay for the concert the same night.

The Travelers Championship week gets underway June 20, with tournament play beginning June 23. Defending champion Bubba Watson will be playing in this year's tournament, along with other fan favorites Vijay Singh, John Daly, Anthony Kim and Padraig Harrington.
