It wasn't just the pro golfers that made the day special at the Travelers Championship Wednesday, but the celebrities as well.

Fans got a chance to see annual favorites like UConn Head Coach Jim Calhoun, actor John O'Hurley of Seinfeld fame, Patriots coach Bill Bellichick, and ESPN host Chris Berman.

But there were some new faces this year, including Olympic skier Bode Miller, Baseball Hall-Of-Famer Ozzie Smith, and Grammy-winning singer Michael Bolton.

Bolton, a New Haven native, said he was happy to make his first trip to Cromwell this year. "This was just perfect timing for me to support what they do, including The Hole in the Wall Gang," Bolton said. Proceeds from the tournament go to the charity and other organizations as well.

Oscar-winning actor Joe Pesci has played at the Travelers Championship pro-am for several years, and wasn't about to skip this year. "The first year I was here, what did it was I was listening to these little girls talking, thanking everyone for sending them to camp and the one girl said 'it was the best time I had in my life', and I just fell apart," Pesci said.

Celebrities, pros, and fans all had to deal with the heat Wednesday. Temperatures climbed near 90 degrees, making it a sticky day for everyone at the TPC at River Highlands.
