It's all about dogs at Mystic Seaport, as Mystic celebrates the dog days of summer.

The dog days of summer are here and Mystic Seaport is going to the dogs, from Aug. 28 to 30.

Throughout the weekend, there will be events for dog lovers of all ages, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., from meeting Clifford the Big Red Dog, to reading dog stories at the Children’s Museum to meeting Rufus, the 2006 Westminster Best in Show -- the 9-year-old Bull Terrier to win Westminster. He holds more than 700 titles.

Visitors to the seaport will also be able to see a demonstration of Flyball, and learn what this canine sport is about, plus watch Newfoundlands demonstrating their lifesaving skills.

You’ll also be able to meet the CT Canine Search and Rescue Team and the Stonington K-9 unit will demonstrate how they stop criminals in their tracks.
