Jonas Brothers to Play Ball Before Connecticut Show

Sure they're talented, and dreamy, and make tweens scream at their concerts, but the Jonas Brothers also know how to do some good. And that will be evident on August 13 when Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas take the field at the home of the Rock Cats, New Britain Stadium, for a charity softball game against a team from ESPN. The Rock Cats made the announcement on their website Thursday.

The heartthrobs' "Road Dogs" team plays events around the country, and the brothers first mentioned the team to ESPN during a May appearance on an ESPN Fantasy Focus podcast. ESPN's Matthew Berry challenged the Jonases to a game, and the boys gladly accepted.

ESPN's team will include Mike and Mike in the Morning's Mike Greenberg, NFL analyst Marcellus Wiley, Baseball Tonight analyst Eduardo Perez and Berry.

The game is scheduled for noon on August 13, just hours before the Jonas Brothers take the stage at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Tickets for the game are free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Connecticut Children's Medical Center's "A Brighter Hope" campaign. Tickets were available beginning Thursday, July 29, at the New Britain Stadium Box Office or by calling (860) 224-8383.
