Mark Twain is coming home. This one is 6-feet-tall and made entirely of plastic bricks. He won’t be nearly as witty as the man who once said, “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence in society,” but he sure will be fun to look at.

To further entertain yourself, try and figure out how many LEGOS the model makers at Brick House, LEGO Systems Inc.’s shop in Enfield, used to build the 150-pound life-size replica of the literary icon.

He arrived at the The Mark Twain House & Museum in Hartford Wednesday, just in time for Thursday’s Ice Cream Social to celebrate the arrival of a “new” antique (as in circa-1890) icebox in the Twain kitchen.

Three months ago, the LEGO version of the Mark Twain House arrived at the Museum Center and on Wednesday, Twain himself arrived.

In case a Twain in brick is not enough of a reason to head over to the Twain House, free ice cream might. UConn Dairy Bar’s offering it up.

The barbershop quartet Bandstand will perform, and the Hartford dance troupe Equilibrium will – you guessed it -- dance.

The party begins at 4 p.m.
