Foxwoods, a Hot Spot for Slots, Craps, Bowling

Millions flock to Foxwoods for gambling, good food and fun each year, but now they might do so for bowling. The casino will open a new luxury bowling lounge this summer.

"High Rollers" will be a multifaceted bowling and entertainment complex, according to a release by the lounge's operator, Big Night Entertainment. Among the amenities will be 20 regulation bowling lanes, eight billiard tables, a two-level lounge with a piano, fireplace and bar made of marble.

Bowlers will also be able to dine on a bar menu by award-winning chef Kevin Long, who also created dishes for some of the company's other properties at Foxwoods

“High Rollers, is a high-end, cutting edge concept that is sure to resonate with our sophisticated, fun-seeking clientele,” Chairman Rodney Butler of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation said in the release.

Six of the lanes will be for VIPs and include full beverage service, and everyone will enjoy the 50 big-screen TVs that will adorn the walls.

The release says "High Rollers" will open this summer, but there is no set date for it's actual first day.
