Rails to the Darkside: About 100 years ago, graves were moved to accommodate the new Warehouse Point trolley line. Since then, locals have experienced strange goings-on that caused many to leave the area. Experience life like the locals with this haunted trolley ride. Can your heart take the strain? The Connecticut Trolley Museum in East Windsor runs the ride. It runs weekends through Oct. 30.
Trail of Terror: Take a terrifying journey through more than 30 interactive scenes where more than 70 of your favorite, and not so favorite, spooky characters await you.Trail of Terror in Wallingford was voted "Best Outdoor Attraction" in a national poll by Fright Times magazine and continues to scare you senseless while raising money for a good cause. Proceeds benefit local charities. General Admission is $10. Tickets sell out early, so book ahead of time and get in line early.
Haunted Graveyard: Head to Lake Compounce in Bristol ,where you can take a 45-minute walk through a dark and scary place, complete with zombies, witches, villains and, of course, the Grim Reaper. The trail leads you through a swamp, a small haunted corn maze, a graveyard and torture chambers and features six haunted houses all linked by a labyrinth of terrifying trails.
