7/23: Beyonce, Bridgeport and Brouhahas

Beyoncé could sing "Row, row, row your boat" and we'd be in awe.

BEYONCE-LICIOUS: Any Beyoncé show goes into the extreme Vegas-style extravaganza quickly, and we'd expect nothing less when she hits the Mohegan Sun Arena tonight.  Mrs. Jay Z is expected to sport some 60 outfits, more than most of us own, and will own the stage for a six-act production. 7:30 P.M.

VIBRATING: Woodstock is still going on for some. The Gathering of the Vibes is Bridgeport's answer to the upstate festival and it kicks off tonight. Crosby, Stills & Nash, Buddy Guy, George Clinton and a ton of others will take the stage during the four days.  We'll pick out your weekend highlights tomorrow, but why not be there for the kick-off?!

LAUGHING IT UP: An NYC-based improv group called Chicago City Limits is bringing a show called "Wikiphobia" to Wesleyan. Yes, we get the irony of promoting a show that aims to lampoon the Internet. But it may be a good time ...so long as they don't poke fun at NBCConnecticut.com.
