According to the Journal Inquirer , Wu spent his senior year abroad in Paris, giving him one full year at Loomis Chaffee.

During his junior year, Wu won a prestigious art department prize, recognition of his accomplishment in the artistic arena, his former academic adviser Kevin Henderson told the newspaper.

After attending Loomis Chaffee, Wu enrolled in the prestigious Parson School of Design in New York.
