Get a taste of California at Cavey's of Manchester.
SUSHI AT THE SHRINE: If you are into sushi, we're told there's only one place to be on Tuesday and that's at the Shrine Asian Kitchen inside MGM Grand at Foxwoods. This restaurant is offering a sushi smorgasbord of signature rolls and dishes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All the sushi you can eat for $20 a person.
CALIFORNIA IN CONNECTICUT: If you're looking for a taste of California wine country without heading to California, head to Cavey's of Manchester. They're hosting a "California, Here We Come" wine event. Alex Province of Alan S. Goodman guides participants through some of his favorite wines produced in the perfect climate of Santa Barbara.
OCTOBERFEST: Manchester's Hungry Tiger is offering a special menu for October. A variety of beers, sausage platters, homemade sauerkraut and potato pancakes are featured. It'll cost you $8 for lunch and $12 for dinner.
