PRE-HOLIDAY FEAST: Sure, we all plan to gorge ourselves over the next week, but why not get a head start? Mavi in Bloomfield is offering a special $25 Mediterranean Feast tonight. The meal includes soup, salad, a choice of entreé and a dessert. The restaurant brings you on a tour of the Mediterranean with signature French, Italian, Turkish and Spanish dishes. It's from 5 to 9 p.m.
BATTLING THE BEARS: The college basketball season is in full swing and tonight, the UConn Men look to continue their winning ways against the Maine Black Bears at the XL Center in Hartford. The Huskies are coming off a win against Central Florida, and are trying to build some confidence before their brutal Big East schedule kicks off. Click here for ticket info. Starts at 7 p.m.
BALLROOM BLITZ: Want to hit the dance floor, but think you have two left feet? Fear not friends. Tonight in Rocky Hill, you can learn the skills you need to be a ballroom dancing fool. Head to the US Dance Club for some lessons on the basics. Couples and singles classes are available in the foxtrot, waltz, swing, rumba and tango (though it's unclear if they have roses for you to chew on). Starts at 7 p.m.
