Saturday Suds

There will be a craft beer festival in Waterbury.

Think all beers are created equal? Think again. From the biggest of mass-produced brews, to the craftiest of craft beers, there's virtually no end to the creativity of brewers and their creations.

And Saturday, you can get your fill on one of the largest selections in New England at the sixth annual Brass City Brew Fest.

Presented by Main Street Waterbury, the event features a "daunting" variety of craft brews.  Besides all the tastings, there are plenty of other beer-related activities on the agenda.  There are Beer 101 seminars, a Belgian Tent, food from area restaurants, music from area bands, t-shirts and other souvenirs, and the list goes on.

This year, there's also a Craft Brewers Showcase that will put a special spotlight on beers from about a dozen regional brewers.

Tickets for the Brew Fest are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. And of course, proper ID is required.  And don't let the weathermen get you down. The event is being held rain or shine.
