5/26: Sex, Food & Rock-n-Roll

SEX: Ok, so now that we got your attention, just about everyone knows by now that Sex and the City 2 hits theaters this weekend. But what you might not know is that the seqeul featuring Carrie and her friends actually opens tonight at midnight. There are several private parties being held leading up to tonight's premiere. If you're lucky enough to squeeze into one of those, see if you can get us in too. Most of us will just have to get in line for tickets to the midnight show. Check listings for theaters.

TASTE TEST: If you're looking for a little something to satisfy those hungry feelings, head to Blue Back Square in West Hartford. The shopping center continues its Tastes & Toasts series tonight. The weekly event is hosted by a different restaurant, and includes discounted drinks, appetizers and meal specials. This week's event is at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. It's a $10 charitable donation at the door. The donations this week go to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. You can take advantage of the deals, while helping out a worthwhile cause from 5 p.m.-10 p.m.

ROCK ON: New Haven has a great music scene, and that will be apparent tonight at Cafe Nine. The club at 250 State Street is the place to be to see some cool local acts, including The Tyler Truedeau Attempt, Allo Darlin', and Women's Basketball Band (no word if any Huskies will be on the stage for that one). The best part: No cover charge. The show starts at 9 p.m..
