Franchisee Rob Kopel told the Connecticut Postlast summer that he expects to hire 100 people for the Danbury restaurant location.
Sonic started as a hamburger and root beer stand in Oklahoma in 1953. There are more than 3,500 Sonic drive-ins coast to coast.
Several other Sonics could be opening in the state, including in Orange, according to the Connecticut Post.
